·Welcome to Glacier Optics.
Dear friends from the mountains and elsewhere,
We’re especially proud to introduce our first optical collection: five distinct frames designed with the same alpine perspective that has shaped Glacier Optics from the beginning.

We guess Glacier Optics was never meant to stop at sunglasses.
INTRODUCING
FIVE SHAPES.
ONE PERSPECTIVE.
[ L A I V A ]
IT ALL STARTED
WITH OUR OWN GLASSES.
Our very first optical collection is here. And if we're being completely honest, it all started because our own prescription glasses had become... pretty embarrassing.
It all began in February 2025: "Benoît, your glasses look terrible. They look like they've been through the washing machine… We need to do something."
Arnaud was right. Although, to be fair, his own frames weren't looking much better. We had spent years designing sunglasses for everyone else while completely neglecting the prescription glasses we wore every day.

FROM MOUNTAINS TO PROTOTYPES
THE CHALET
DESIGN WORKSHOP
A few weeks later, we packed up and headed to our mountain base camp at 1,500 metres above sea level in Col des Mosses.

Around the table were industrial designers Christophe Guberan and Till Seegräber (both ECAL alumni), our graphic designer Alessia Marini, and our eyewear designers Timothée Panier and Adrien Nabot.
The agenda was simple: hikes, cheese fondue, long conversations, sketchbooks and prototypes.
By the end of the week, the foundations of what would become our very first optical collection were already in place: local production, lightweight titanium frames, and easy to repair or change the components.
The rest took a little more patience. Hundreds of emails. Dozens of prototypes. Thousands of questions about titanium, hinges, proportions, colours and all those tiny details that, in our opinion, make all the difference.

FIVE INTERPRETATIONS
THE ALPS,
FIVE WAYS.
More than a year later, the result is finally here.
A collection we're incredibly proud of.
A collection we're incredibly proud of.
Five frames. Five interpretations of our vision of the Alps.
Five names borrowed from Alpine patois.

Ultra-light titanium frames, handcrafted by local optical artisans. A clean, understated design where subtle variations in thickness play with the light, finished with a Torx screw as a discreet nod to mountain equipment.
[ R A V A ]
Built from a unique titanium alloy, every frame is designed to last. Every component can be disassembled, repaired and recycled.
Inspired by the Alps, the colour palette reflects rock, mineral light and the quiet softness of higher altitudes. Matte finishes, timeless tones and colours designed to outlast trends.
This collection tells a little of our story. We hope it'll become part of yours.
