We have been travelling the mountains for more than 10 years together. 10 years of mountain expeditions, film projects and strong friendship. It came to a point we needed a new common challenge, related to our experience working with outdoor companies. We felt the time had come to create our own brand. We wanted to offer something simple, tangible, durable and useful. This is how Glacier Optics was born. A high-quality sunglasses brand made in the Alps.

This is where it all started.
In our « cabanon », we sketched our first frames, handpacked our first sunglasses, designed, tested and experimented with new ideas. We cut old paraglider lines into sunglass cords, edited films and portraits, and welcomed friends, early customers and collaborators.
For the first five years of Glacier Optics, this was our basecamp. The place where we planned expeditions, built the brand, and occasionally swapped a morning at the office for a few powder turns in the Prealps when conditions allowed.
Every frame, every story and every adventure started here, in just 25 square meters overlooking the Alps we call home.
From this little workshop, Glacier Optics grew and evolved.

As of 2026, a new chapter begins in Vevey, a few dozen kilometers down the shores of Lake Geneva. More space, new possibilities, and the same Alpine horizon that has guided Glacier Optics from the very beginning.
